Biodiversity Friend

We have recently received the BIODIVERSITY FRIEND certification which evaluates the impact of agricultural practices on the territory in order to combine a continuous increase in the quality of the grapes with the protection of the environment, the fertility of the soil and the health of workers. Here the sheep provide natural fertilization and bring the animal spirit into the vineyard. The variety of plants that populate our land are a land of plenty for the bees that spend the whole season among our rows.
The vineyard is interrupted by groups of trees and hedges and the land is cyclically dug and sown with mixed seeds of cereals, flowers, clover, rapeseed etc. which together with the compost allow the vines to have the ideal fertile soil for their life. We have also arranged several nests for various varieties of birds.

Rediscovering the value of biodiversity is our ongoing commitment because we believe we are not just suppliers of a product, but above all custodians of the territory.

Abbiamo da poco ricevuto la certificazione BIODIVERSITY FRIEND che valuta l’impatto delle pratiche agricole sul territorio al fine di coniugare un continuo innalzamento della qualità dell’uva con la tutela dell’ambiente, la fertilità del terreno e la salute dei lavoratori. Da noi le pecore provvedono alla concimazione naturale e portano lo spirito animale nel vigneto. La varietà di piante che popolano i nostri terreni sono un paese della cuccagna per le api che trascorrono tutta stagione tra i nostri filari. Il vigneto è interrotto da gruppi d’alberi e siepi e ciclicamente il terreno viene vangato e seminato con sementi miste di cereali, fiori, trifoglio, colza ecc. che assieme al compost consentono che le viti abbiano il suolo fertile ideale per la loro vita. Abbiamo inoltre disposto diversi nidi per svariate varietà d’uccelli.

Riscoprire il valore della biodiversità è un nostro impegno continuo perché crediamo di non essere solo fornitori di un prodotto, ma soprattutto custodi del territorio.
